This is a legal and binding contract you are signing. Legal action can be taken if not fulfilled. This is made to offer you a guarantee on a healthy puppy as well as to protect our puppies from improper homes. BOTTOM OF EVERY PAGE MUST BE INITIALED, as well as initials required where requested to ensure you have read entire contract.

NOTE:  For HEALTH guarantee in this contract to be valid you MUST fulfill your end, most have not been.  We do keep track. Make sure to read in full.​​  This is a pretty standard contract.  Heath guarantee does not cover every possible thing that can happen to a dog, you are purchasing a dog and are expected to realize that things happen and dogs need vet care.  This is a responsibility that comes with being a dog owner.  
** BULLDOG FEMALES SHOULD BE AND ANY FEMALE SOLD BY US ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT LEAST 16 MONTHS OF AGE BEFORE BEING BRED, 18-24 MONTHS IS RECOMMENDED.  IF ANY FEMALE PUPPY HAS BEEN USED FOR BREEDING BEFORE 16 MONTHS OF AGE, HEALTH GURANTEE IN THIS CONTRACT IS AUTOMATICALLY VOIDED AND FEMALE MUST BE RETURNED WITH HER AKC PAPERS SIGNED BACK OVER TO JODI VETTER AND ANTHONY KONOP, EVEN IF PREGNANT, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT SHE IS NO LONGER YOUR BULLDOG AND YOU WILL HAVE NO RIGHTS TO HER LITTER. PURCHASER AGREES IN THIS CONTRACT THAT THEY WILL NOT BREED THEIR FEMALE UNTIL AT LEAST 16 MONTHS OF AGE.   16 MONTHS IS TIME BITCH IS BRED, NOT WHEN SHE IS DUE TO HAVE PUPPIES. PURCHASER OF BREEDING FEMALE AGREES THAT FEMALE WILL BE RETIRED BY 6 YEARS OF AGE AND CAN HAVE NO MORE THAN 4 LITTERS WITH FEMALE PURCHASED FROM US.INITIAL________
FULL REGISTRATION IS NOT GRANTED TO EVERYONE, IT IS SUBJECT TO APPROVAL. WE DO NOT SELL TO KENNELS, PUPPYMILLS, OR BROKERs. PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE SOLD TO HOMES THAT KEEP THEIR DOG IN THE HOME AS A PET AND PART OF THE FAMILY. MAJORITY OF THEIR LIVING MUST BE IN THE FAMILY HOME.  Purchaser agrees in this contract that the dog sold to them by Darien Center Bulldogs will live in their home only. If your dog purchased from us is found not living in the home, it is breach of contract, and you will also have to return dog sold to you.
We do have on occasion show quality prospects, but show quality cannot be guaranteed.  
Fertility of any dog sold for breeding is NOT guaranteed. INITIAL______ ​

We have a 1 YEAR OF AGE health guarantee on the pups, this health guarantee the expires the day the dog turns 12 months of age . WE HAVE A CONTRACT SIGNED BY BOTH PARTIES GUARANTEEING THE HEALTH ISSUES OF THE PUPPY. IF MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES ARISE, AND THE PUPPIES HEALTH IS AN ISSUE THAT WOULD JUSTIFY A REPLACEMENT PUPPY, GIVEN THE TIME FRAME IS WITHIN OUR HEALTH GUIDE LINES, THE PUPPY WILL HAVE TO BE CHECKED OUT BY OUR VET.  If nothing is found wrong with the dog, we will get a second opinion from another vet.  If nothing is still found wrong, you are responsible to pay for all vet bills we incurred.  Initial__________

IF A REPLACEMENT PUPPY IS OFFERED IT WILL BE AT YOUR EXPENSE AND RESPONSIBILITY TO COME AND GET THE PUPPY (puppy is sold from our premises and must be returned to our premises). THE ORIGINAL PUPPY WILL NEED TO BE BROUGHT BACK TO ME BEFORE THE REPLACMENT IF OFFERED IS GIVEN. NO EXCEPTIONS. IF THE PUPPY DIED. IT MUST BE TAKEN TO A VET FOR VERIFICATION OF WHAT IT DIED FROM WITHIN 12 HOURS OF DEATH. THIS IS TO MAKE SURE THE PUPPY DID NOT DIE OF NEGLECT/ABUSE, accident, diseases that can be contracted from other animals, or other cases that are not related to genetic/congenital health issuesIF YOU ARE WANTING A HIGHER PRICED PUPPY, THE DIFFERENCE MUST BE PAID. 

We require $500.00 nonrefundable deposit down to hold the puppy till ready to go. Deposit is for a particular puppy you pick that is available.

The purchaser must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within five buisness days of taking the puppy home with you. INITIAL_____ This is due to the fact the puppy can come into contact with contagious diseases or bacteria from other pets, many of these ailments can get spread in public places and can even be spread by clothing and shoes. Adult dogs can be carriers of disease with NO symptoms due to their built up immune systems that can pass to your puppies. PUPPIES ARE NOT FULLY VACCINATED UNTIL ALL 3 ROUNDS OF PUPPY SHOTS ARE COMPLETE, therefore you will want to limit their exposure. 


​1. The failure to provide this information AFTER 14 DAYS from date of purchase will result in the cancellation of the health guarantee part of this contract. If the examination indicates that at the time of the sale, such animal was unfit for purchase due to illness, disease, or congenital disorder, you may return the puppy or dog to us for an exchange of equivalent value. If a higher priced puppy is chosen, you are required to pay the difference. NO money is refunded at all. If no puppies are available at the time, you do have to wait for a future litter.

2.  Darien Center bulldogs guarantees the puppy against fatal viruses for 72 hours from the time you pick up the puppy. These include Distemper, Parvo, and Corona. It does not include Coccidia, Kennel Cough, or Worms which are common in puppies that are shipped and usually caused by bacteria. Kennel Cough is self- limiting and like the common cold, it must run its course. Full recovery is expected and Kennel Cough on its own is usually not life threatening.  All puppies will all be given proper vaccinations and will be wormed before going to their new homes.  Puppies being shipped will have a health certificate for travel.  All puppies will be vet checked and have at least one round of vet administered vaccinations.

3.  This puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against fatal and life altering congenital and genetic disease which adversely affect the health of the animal. Any noticed health issues must be reported immediately so we can discuss what needs to be done. This guarantee covers your puppy until one year of age against fatal and life altering genetic diseases which adversely affect the health of the animal.

This guarantee covers /includes:
SEVERE Hip and Elbow dysplasia which hampers the dog’s movement and requires surgery to correct not caused by injury due to environmental factors. 
Severe luxating patellas or ofa grade 4.
Pyloric Stenosis
Heart murmur
Kidney, pancreas, heart failure, and liver problems of severe life threatening or altering nature. 

This agreement does not include: 
Cherry eye
Entropian / ectropion
“Loose” hips, hips determined by an ofa certified veterinarian as good, fair, borderline, mild, or moderate hip dysplasia.
Luxating Patella ofa graded as 1-3. 
Skin allergies
Umbilical hernias
Mild Elongated Soft Palate
Undershot / uneven bites
Demodex mite
Amputation of tight tails
Pyometra- this is common in bulldogs and occurs in females who are not spayed. During heat cycles, females are prone to bacteria entering the uterus, which will then fill with puss and make her very ill and can cause death. Spaying the female is the only way to treat this. 
Collapsed notstils or Stenotic nares
Injuries requiring surgery to correct (fractures, damage to growth plates) outside of the breeder’s home. 
Pyoderma and dermatitis
Any reactions or death caused by any medications, supplements, or foods given to dog by purchaser or purchaser's veterinarian.

Any skin conditions caused by ticks and fleas. This also includes skin irritations from allergies to certain foods and/ or grasses/plants. 
Wounds
Worms
Death resulting from parvo virus, distemper, hepatitis, Para influenza, bordetella, and leptospirosis, after the 72 hour period has elapsed. 
All ailments that would have been avoided by vaccinations, worming, training, medication and good quality diet. 
4. Purchaser(s) are aware and understand that due to the nature of this breed, bulldogs are predisposed to certain breed specific issues including cherry eye, stenotic nares, entropion/ectropion, loose hips, skin allergies and other common bulldog breed ailments. This guarantee excludes any breed specific issues that are considered normal or common for the bulldog breed.
If the dog for any reason dies within one year from health problems and the reason is genetic or congenital, Darien Center bulldogs will replace the puppy. Darien Center bulldogs must be notified of the problem within 24 hours of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have the reports from the veterinarian stating the problem and Macnaughty bulldogs will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value.  If new puppy is of higher value, purchaser must pay the difference.  If orginal puppy was sold limited AKC, replacement puppy will be limited AKC with the spay / neuter requirement. Purchaser is responsible for all transportation cost of the replacement puppy.
It is a breed fact that all bulldogs have some form of hip dysplasia. They are graded by what is considered acceptable for the breed. All of our dogs run and play with no problems at all. If hips are “acceptable”, your bulldog will get around no problem and without pain. As bulldogs grow, their hips and joints are not fully aligned until 2 years of age. Therefore, dysplasia CAN NOT even be truly diagnosed until they are 2 years of age. Proper positioning of body is a must for an accurate x-ray and must be done by a certified vet. ​
5.  In cases of severe elbow (luxating patella) or hip dysplasia, the radiograph should be permanently identified in the film emulsion with: registered name and or number of the veterinarian or hospital making the film and date radiograph taken. Furthermore, the radiograph and report must meet OFA’s standard submission requirements. At 12 months of age only a 50% accuracy can be determined on hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is also caused by environmental factors, such as overworking your puppy (e.g. too much physical activity during growth, requiring to go up and down stairs on a daily basis, poor quality diet). Due to these considerations, ONLY SEVERE cases are covered. Most bulldog breeders do not cover hip or elbow issues at all. 

6.  Darien Center bulldogs will not be responsible for veterinarian fees or costs. Purchaser is aware that owning a puppy or dog means trips to the veterinarian’s office and the purchaser is responsible for all payments. INITIAL_________

7.  There is no guarantee or warranty that the purchaser will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potential.

8.  Darien Center bulldogs is not responsible for temperament issues as they can be caused by lack of training, discipline, or proper socialization which will play a large part in determining the dogs personality.

9.  Failure to sign and return enclosed acknowledgement will result in the cancellation of the HEALTH Guarantee. 

10.  Purchaser will keep the puppy current on all vet care including ALL shots, deworming, and heart worm treatment. Purchaser agrees to feed the puppy good dog food and not allow the puppy to become obese. Purchaser agrees to house the bulldog in their HOME, not a shed, garage or anything else. Purchaser must provide proper air conditioning in hot weather. The bulldog will not allowed outside for extended periods of time in extreme weather conditions that can do harm to the bulldog.  If your bulldog from Darien Center bulldogs is shown to be neglected and not properly cared for Darien Center Bulldogs reserves the right to repossess the dog with no refund given. Furthermore, if your bulldog from Darien Center  bulldogs is being bred at an earlier age than stated in this contract or a limited registration bulldog is being used for breeding, Darien Center Bulldogs reserves the right to repossess the dog with no refund given. All AKC paperwork will be required to be returned to sellers and MUST be singned back over to us.  
11.  In the event that your dog requires vet care for any reason and vet care is not provided, which most times will lead to further complications​​. Health guarantee in this contract is is voided. Not providing your dog with proper care is unacceptable under all circumstances.
***HEALTH GUARANTEES THAT ARE VOIDED DUE TO BREACH OF CONTRACT, DO NOT RELEASE BUYER(S) TO ANY OF THE CONTRACT AGREEMENTS CONTAINED IN THIS CONTRACT AT ALL. ALL RESTRICTIONS DO STILL APPLY AND ARE LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE.
